Classic Design Kitchens has been designing and installing kitchens since 1994. Our showroom is on Dalhousie Road in Broughty Ferry, a ten minute drive from Monifieth, and we have worked throughout the town and the surrounding Angus coast for three decades.
Established Since 1994
The business began building flat pack furniture in a garage and now occupies one of the most established kitchen showrooms in the area, the fourth in our history, including sixteen years on Union Street.
Our projects typically begin around £25,000. At that level of commitment, who you appoint matters as much as what you buy. Kitchen retailers open, rebrand and disappear within a year or two. Kitchens we installed fifteen years ago are still in daily use, and we are still here to service them.
Accredited at the Highest Level
We hold five star Master Partner status with Neff, the highest tier the manufacturer awards, granted only to a small number of UK retailers and dependent on ongoing product training. Alongside Neff we display the Siemens Studio Line range, Bora downdraft extraction and Quooker instant boiling water taps, all live in the showroom. You can see the full appliance range in person.
As an authorised Nolte Küchen partner, we specify German cabinetry manufactured to tolerances that allow genuinely handleless fronts with consistent shadow gaps, and drawer mechanisms rated for decades rather than years. The Nolte Neo range sits above it for projects needing a wider choice of fronts.
Designing for Monifieth Homes
Monifieth is dominated by substantial detached and semi detached family housing, much of it built from the nineteen thirties onwards, with newer development towards Ashludie and the northern edge of the town.
The pattern we see most often here is a family home where the original kitchen was designed as a separate working room, closed off from the rest of the house. Opening that space into a dining or garden room transforms how the property lives, and it is where careful design earns its keep. Island placement, extraction routing and sightlines from the seating area all need resolving before a single cabinet is ordered.
Properties nearer the links and the shore often have long, narrow kitchens where a galley layout is the honest answer, executed properly with full height storage and integrated appliances rather than forcing an island into a space that cannot take one.
How We Work
Design begins with a conversation rather than a catalogue. We survey the property ourselves, produce elevations and finish samples, and install with the same fitting teams on every project, directly managed by us, which is the single largest factor in how a finished kitchen actually looks.
